A 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix passed away recently after a long life of 359,599.6 km. Although his health was declining, the end was a surprise and it was painful for the family. A police roadside maintenance check precipitated him being forced to move on to his next life as a parts car. During the surprise physical, rust was discovered on his underside. The repair treatment to save him was deemed to be too expensive. This Grand Prix pre-planned on going out in grand style and signed a donor card in advance. Although some parts are well worn, many are still in good condition and ready for transplant to happily extend the life of another car. The family would be honoured that his passing can extend the life of another car, letting his legacy live on.
